One of my favorite parts of this job is getting to watch families grow. A few weeks ago, I met up with Ilyse and William for their maternity session as they counted down the days until meeting their sweet girl. Fast forward a little bit, and I was walking into their home to meet Penelope (and of course, Winston had to make sure he got his time in front of the camera too). Getting invited into someone's home during such a special season is something I'll never take for granted. There's no pressure to be perfect during these sessions—we take breaks for feedings, diaper changes, baby snuggles, and whatever else your little one needs. I always tell parents that the goal isn't perfection, it's documenting what life looks like right now. The tiny fingers, sleepy stretches, the way your baby fits perfectly in your arms... those are the moments you'll want to remember years from now. Every newborn session includes my assistant, Kyleigh, who is there to help with everything from fixing blankets and outfits to lending an extra hand whenever it's needed, making the whole experience feel relaxed from start to finish. It has been so much fun getting to document this season for Ilyse and William, and I already know it's going to be so special watching Penelope grow over the years.
Expecting a little one?
One of my favorite parts of being a Savannah newborn photographer is getting to watch families grow. From maternity photos to welcoming your baby home and celebrating all of those first-year milestones, it's so special getting to tell your family's story from the very beginning. That's exactly why I created my Grow With Me Bundle—designed to document your baby's entire first year. It includes your maternity session, lifestyle newborn session, and two milestone sessions, so you'll always have these moments to look back on as your little one grows.
Whether you're in Savannah, Wilmington Island, Pooler, Richmond Hill, or the surrounding Coastal Georgia area, I'd love to help document this season for your family. I can't wait to meet your newest little love.
