There is just something about a sunset on North Beach that never gets old. I met up with the Macdonald family on Tybee Island for an evening full of running through the sand, baby snuggles, chasing waves, and soaking in one of those pastel sunsets that makes you stop for a second. Michael kept all of us on our toes in the best way, while Caroline was perfectly happy taking everything in from Mom and Dad's arms. My favorite part of this session wasn't the perfectly posed portraits—it was all of the little moments in between. Dad tossing Michael into the air, sweet sibling cuddles, tiny sandy feet, and the way everyone just laughed together. Those are always the images that end up meaning the most years down the road. One of my favorite things about photographing at North Beach is how much variety we can get without ever leaving the area. Between the sea oats, dunes, shoreline, and open beach, every gallery feels unique. Every family session also includes my assistant, Kyleigh, who helps with everything from fixing hair and outfits to keeping little ones engaged so parents can actually relax and enjoy the experience. My goal is for your session to feel like an evening spent together as a family—not another thing to check off your vacation itinerary—and for you to leave with images that bring you right back to this season every time you look at them.
